The Perfect Caribbean Honeymoon

The Caribbean is a dream honeymoon location. There are many amazing islands to choose from when visiting this destination, each with their own fantastic qualities. If your idea of a honeymoon is relaxing on a sun soaked island, enjoying the island life; then a Caribbean honeymoon is for you!

The Caribbean is made up of hundreds of different countries and nationalities. When making the choice as to which island to go to you need to look at what each specific island offers. Don't be fooled into thinking all of the islands are the same because they most definately are not!

Top Three Caribbean Destinations

Jamaica: Jamaica is often thought of as the largest island in the Caribbean, a beautiful location where you can enjoy a balmy tropical tempeature throughout the year.

The Bahamas: A great honeymoon destination as they are a stones throw away from Florida.

Cancun: The Caribbean's #1 tourist destination. A must if you are wanting amazing retail therapy, archaelogical tours, fantastic sun, sand & surf and 24hr night life!

When To Go:

The best time of the year to visit the Caribbean is Springtime, so this would be perfect if your wedding is between March through to May.

You can of course throughout the year but bear in mind hurricane season is August through to November, with the bulk of hurricanes happening in September.

Often you can get good prices during shoulder seasons, and the weather is generally quite mild and enjoyable.

Flying Times:

From most of the major cities in the USA, you can be starting your Caribbean honeymoon within 7 1/2 hours (LA - Bahamas)

Visa/Passport Requirements

Most western countries do not require a visa but you will need a valid passport. Please check your travel documentation requirements with your travel specialist at least 6 weeks before departure to ensure you have a smooth immigration experience at your honeymoon destination.

Bahamas

Nassau in the Bahamas has loads of attractions and activities to keep you entertained, from a leisurely game of golf or checking out the sealife with your snorkel, to the big bright lights of the local casino or the wildest night clubs.

Jamaica

Jamaica is full of history, expand your knowledge by visiting any of its 47 historical site. A favourite is "Nile Mile" where reggae legend Bob Marley was born. Cancun
